Report Unsafe or Inappropriate Behavior
Use this page when another user threatens, harasses, scams, impersonates, exposes private information, or ignores clear boundaries during a CoomeetChat conversation.
When You Should Report Another User
Submit a report when another user engages in behaviour that may violate the CoomeetChat Terms or create a meaningful safety risk. Examples include:
- Harassment
- Threats
- Hate or discriminatory abuse
- Fraud or scams
- Impersonation
- Requests for passwords or codes
- Sharing another person’s private information
- Attempts to exploit or blackmail someone
- Seriously harmful or illegal content
- Repeated unwanted commercial promotion
- Attempts to bypass safety restrictions
- Continued pressure after a clear refusal
Please don't file a report simply because you did not enjoy the conversation. You can leave an ordinary unwanted match without filing a report.
Report Harassment or Threats
Report conduct such as:
- Repeated insults
- Threats of physical harm
- Threats to publish private information
- Intimidation
- Repeated unwanted contact
- Aggressive behaviour after you ask the person to stop
When you believe a threat is immediate or credible, stop communicating and contact local authorities. Do not challenge the user or remain connected when doing so may increase your risk.
Report Scams and Financial Requests
Common warning signs include someone who:
- Requests money
- Requests gift cards
- Asks for cryptocurrency
- Promises guaranteed returns
- Claims to have an emergency
- Requests payment to release a prize
- Asks for a verification code
- Requests access to your device
- Sends a suspicious payment link
Never send banking information, passwords, or authentication codes through a random video chat. Review the CoomeetChat Safety Center for additional scam guidance.
Report Privacy Violations
A privacy violation may include:
- Displaying someone else’s private information
- Threatening to publish personal material
- Impersonating another person
- Attempting to collect confidential documents
- Sharing an address without permission
- Exposing private messages
- Asking for identity documents
- Pressuring someone to reveal an exact location
When private information has already been disclosed, take additional protective steps such as changing passwords, contacting your financial institution, or reporting identity theft to the appropriate authority.
Report Inappropriate or Illegal Content
Use the report function when another user displays or promotes content that may be illegal, exploitative, threatening, non-consensual, or seriously harmful.
Do not download, redistribute, or send the material to other people. Only preserve information when it is safe, lawful, and necessary for reporting.
For serious illegal activity or immediate harm, contact the relevant local authority.
How to Report a User During a Chat
Step 1: End the Conversation When Necessary
Use the End or Next control to leave the current chat. Your safety is more important than keeping the session open.
Step 2: Select Report
Choose the Report option in the chat interface. The exact position may differ between desktop and mobile layouts.
Step 3: Choose the Closest Reason
Available categories may include:
Harassment or threats Fraud or scam Privacy violation Impersonation Illegal or seriously harmful content Spam or unwanted promotion Other policy violation
Use the category that best describes the main problem.
Step 4: Add Relevant Context
Write a short factual explanation. A useful report explains:
- What happened
- Approximately when it happened
- What the user said or displayed
- Whether the conduct was repeated
- Whether there was an immediate threat
Avoid insults, speculation, or unrelated personal information.
Step 5: Submit the Report
After you submit, the interface confirms that your report was received. Do not repeatedly submit identical reports unless new information becomes available.

What Happens After a Report?
After receiving a report, CoomeetChat may review available information such as:
- Selected report reason
- Written explanation
- Relevant session details
- Technical information needed for review
- Previous reports
- Prior enforcement history
- Applicable policy
Possible actions may include:
- No action when there is insufficient information
- A warning
- Feature limitations
- Session restrictions
- Temporary suspension
- Longer access restrictions
- Preservation of information where legally required
- Referral to an authority where appropriate
A report does not guarantee a specific action. The response depends on the available information and applicable policy.
Will I Receive an Update?
CoomeetChat may confirm that a report was received.
Detailed enforcement information may not always be shared because it can involve:
- Another user’s privacy
- Security procedures
- Ongoing investigation
- Legal restrictions
- Abuse-prevention methods
When a contact email is optional, users who do not provide one may not receive a direct response.
False or Abusive Reports
Do not submit a report to punish another user because:
- They ended the conversation
- They did not respond
- They were not interested
- You disagreed about an ordinary topic
- You want to interfere with their access
Knowingly false reports may themselves violate the Terms of Service. Report behaviour, not personal disappointment.
Reporting a Payment or Technical Problem
Do not use safety reporting for an ordinary billing or technical issue. Use the Help Center or Contact Support, or email:
[email protected]
For a billing request, include a transaction reference but never a complete card number.
What to Do After Leaving the Chat
Depending on what happened, you may also need to:
- Change a password
- Enable two-factor authentication
- Contact your bank
- Block the person on another service
- Review account recovery settings
- Preserve lawful evidence
- Inform a trusted person
- Contact local authorities
When someone has threatened to publish information, do not send money simply because they promise to delete it.
Emergency and Legal Situations
CoomeetChat is not a police, medical, or emergency-response service. Contact the relevant authority when:
- Someone is in immediate danger
- A credible threat has been made
- Serious illegal activity is occurring
- A vulnerable person may be at risk
- Financial theft has occurred
- Identity documents have been misused
Do not wait for a platform response when urgent intervention is required.
Protect Yourself Before the Next Chat
Before starting another conversation:
- Check your camera background
- Remove documents from view
- Avoid sharing an exact location
- Do not reveal passwords or codes
- Use a nickname where appropriate
- Keep payment information private
- Leave when a user ignores a boundary
Read Anonymous Video Chat Safety before returning to matching.
